An almost mystic sense of melancholy settles over the sea in this stunningly shot video by Jakob Carl Sauer. The kind of melancholy that comes over us when we stare out of the window of a traveling car and that one special lover from our past crosses our minds all of a sudden – completely uninvited, but at once so familiar. Laced with the bittersweet memories the melodies of Paul Ruben’s music become one with the sea and we are left there, still staring, still pondering: “Whatever happened to the one that got away?”
