Davit Pirtskhalava, born in 1987, studied at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Georgia State Film University in Tbilisi. He is the author and co-author of many short and feature-length films.Fatheris his directorial debut and won the Golden Leopard for Best International Short at the Locarno International Film Festival 2015.
